During the spring of 2023, I went home for 2  weeks to be there for my father while under medical care. One evening we drove by a local brewery and they were hosting a paint & sip night that coming Saturday. I suggested that we go, but was reminded that my nieces would spend the weekend with us and the event was for adults only. That Saturday morning, I took my nieces to the store and bought all the materials needed for our Family Paint Night. I drew a different design on every canvas, and allowed everyone to paint to their heart's desire. I was happy that my father, who isn't traditionally creative, participated the entire time. I loved the ambiance and hominess of the entire event, and was inspired to make this a reality for others.

Durante la primavera del 2023, fuí a Puerto Rico durante 2 semanas para estar con mi padre durante una convalecencia. Una tarde pasamos por una cervecería que estaba anunciando una actividad de "pintar y tomar" para el siguiente sábado. Sugerí que fueramos, pero me acordaron que mis sobrinas estarían pasando el fin de semana con nosotros y que dicha actividad era sólo para adultos. En la mañana del sábado, mis sobrina y yo fuimos a la tienda a comprar todos los materiales necesarios para tener nuestra propia fiesta de pintura en casa. Dibujé un diseño diferente en cada lienzo y permití a cada quien pintar a sus anchas. Me causó gran alegría ver que mi padre, quien no es tradicionalmente creativo, participar de la actividad con gozo. Me encantó el ambiente hogareño de todo el evento y eso me inspiró a querer hacerlo posible para otros.
